Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan today lost the legal battle for custody of his mentally ill brother Faisal Khan as a local court held that Faisal need not be in anybody's custody and can live anywhere he wants.

It’s difficult to concentrate on anything in this noisy cyber café in Hauz Khas. But a group of five visually impaired girls is hard at work. Even the noise fails to drown their enthusiasm as they sit typing on the keyboard.
The keyboard is not Braille enabled but the software is a special one.

BANGALORE: Krishnakant Mane says that the freedom and flexibility provided by open source software enables him to work with a variety of interfaces and is integral to his work at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
This 27-year-old is visually disabled. He works as a research fellow at TIFR and is adviser to several State Governments. He has been consultant to several companies where he has tried to bring about awareness about the problem faced by people with disabilities using propriety software because it cannot be improvised to suit their needs.

Hello, I want to share the story as I feel a little disappointed about hearing people. Why? For example, I am an actor. I read the script and the story has a deaf character. I am thrilled and auditioning for that part. The audition downsizes and they already pick hearing actor who will play a lead role as deaf. Why?

UNICEF has just released a new report on poverty titled The State of the World’s Children. The report's analysis reveals that far more needs to be done to increase access to treatment and prevention to address the devastating impact of pneumonia, diarrhoea, malaria, severe acute malnutrition and HIV.
